High/Low Bathroom Design

As a designer, I have realized that sometimes I fixate on certain rooms of the home.
Lately, I have been dreaming of gorgeous master baths with freestanding tubs and honed marble tile.
Here is a little somethin'-somethin' I dreamed up.  It's a
HIGH/LOW BATHROOM DESIGN
in the works.

2. Home Depot Gris Porcelain Tile
3. Home Depot Honed Marble Tile
4. Eden Bath Vessel Sink (available through Brooke Jones Designs)

What do you think? Maybe I'll add some vintage brass faucets and hardware??

Pinterest: Brass Accents Paired With White

My Pinterest boards are not only filled with pieces with brass accents,
but I have realized I am especially drawn to
BRASS ACCENTS PAIRED WITH WHITE.

Isn't this quote fabulous?
I have it saved as my computer's background. It's easy to get lost in all the
beautiful things in the world and pine after them, but I need to remember that the things
I have are pretty great and I have a pretty darn great life.

I hope you are having a wonderful week!

eDesign: Modern Glam Living Room

I was contacted a few weeks back by the fabulous author over at P.S. I Love This
who needed some guidance on her formal living room.  Her home is already amazing.  I mean AMAZING.
I was so honored when she asked me to put together an eDesign board for her
MODERN GLAM LIVING ROOM.

Seriously, I have never met someone with such similar style to mine.  I kept telling my husband we have to be twins separated at birth. I would source an item for her design board, then peruse her blog and see a post about the EXACT product.  It's clients like her that make my job the best in the world!

Here are my favorite shots of her
STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL19th CENTURY HOME:

I am so blessed to even be a small part of this home!

Desk Lust: Vintage French Desk

Over the weekend, I came across this gorgeous
VINTAGE FRENCH DESK.
Chrome? Brass? Glass? French? Vintage???
Why yes, please. I'll take two, thank you.

The Dark Side of Pinterest

Yesterday a friend and I were discussing all the styles of interiors found on Pinterest.
In her opinion, all the pins were too light and airy.
She wants to see more dark, warm, moody interiors with character

In honor of my friend, here is
THE DARK SIDE OF PINTEREST.

I am still enamored with the off-black look that is happening right now.
Dark is SEXY, no?

Pinterest: Brass Accents

Hi, my name is Brooke Jones and I'm addicted to
Pinterest.
("Hi, Brooke...")

Pinterest is a funny thing.  I have come to realize it can reveal a lot about your personal tastes and interests.
Has anyone out there realized you have pinned the same image more than once?
Or several items really similar to each other?
Well, I was  browsing around my boards and realized, WOW, I really like
BRASS ACCENTS.
Take a peak at some of the furniture pieces I've pinned to see what I mean:

Hmm... I wonder what I psychiatrist would have to say about this...

What have you been pinning lately?

I had a few requests for the link to my Pinterest boards, so feel free to follow away!

Brass Lighting Love: Fort Knox Pendant

I adore globe pendants and have used plain glass in several interior design projects.
Lately I've had my eye on pendants that are a little more edgy and glam.
My latest crush is on the
FORT KNOX PENDANT.
It's a bit retro, a bit uber modern, and drenched in chic ambiance.

How gorg would these be in a cluster in an all-white kitchen with coordinating brass hardware?
These aren't helping my current brass addiction but maybe that's not a bad thing?

White Washed Brick

Every modern space needs a touch of something old.
When I am creating a room from scratch, I try to find a way to add in a
vintage piece of furniture or some architectural materials that add a sense of history to a space.
What could be better than
WHITE WASHED BRICK?

It punches up the ubiquitous white subway tile a bit, don't you think?
The rough brick is the perfect contrast to the sleek lacquered cabinets.
