Perfect Pair: Pumpkin + Bright White

Fall is undoubtedly my favorite season.  It's around this time of year I feel the itch for cooler weather and autumnal tones.  What better way to transition from Summer to Fall than by pairing
pumpkin oranges with bright white?

Have a marvelous weekend!!

Perfect Pair: Milo Baughman + White

I gotta say, I'm still obsessed with Milo Baughman.  I wish I could find more information on his life and work 'cause Wikipedia just isn't cutting it for me.  Until then I will drool over his creations:

If you want to own a piece of Milo from this era, look no further than Crate & Barrel!  The Milo Classic Leather Lounge Chair is based on a 1966 design and comes in four fabulous colors.  If white isn't your thing, try grey, black, or brown on for a change.  Tres chic!!!

Perfect Pair: White + Fretwork

FRETWORK, LATTICE, TRELLIS...
call it what you want, but this look is HOT.  Starting centuries ago in the 'Far East,' migrating to the 'West' through Chippendale and working it's way up to modern day via Kelly Wearstler's Imperial Trellis fabric, fretwork isn't going anywhere soon.  The best way to update this motif for your contemporary home?  Pair it with some white glossy paint... and maybe a metallic accent here or there...
Words cannot describe how much I adore these cabinets!

Perfect Pair: Turquoise + Chrome

Awhile back, I came across a pre-teen's bedroom that had turquoise walls with gold metal trim.  I've been pulling my hair out trying to re-find it... I think it was in an eMag article?  Maybe...? If anyone know what I'm talking about, let me know!  Until then, here are some pretty chrome and turquoise images to drool over:

Perfect Pair: Jonathan Adler + Charlotte Moss

Greatest. Interview. Ever.  I have always adored Jonathan's quirky mod spirit and I fell in love with Charlotte's southern charm when she visited my university.  Who thought the two would be so great together?

Thanks TradHome!

Perfect Pair: Pink + Gold

How can you make pink even more glam? Pair it with gold, of course (and zebra, and mirror, and capiz shell...)

Perfect Pair: Grey + White

Still obsessed with grey. Obsessed. Clean white, too. And the combination? Perfection.

This last one is for you traditionalists out there.  Doesn't this look like a Parisian apartment?  Stunning.

Perfect Pair: Pattern + Leopard Print

It seems like an unlikely pairing, but when done right, leopard can be mixed with other patterns.  The trick is to mix the scales of pattern.  This girl got it right: a subtle polka dot with chic leopard pumps.  I simply love her.  She can be my friend any day.

With the right pieces and a trained eye, you can pull off this look too!

Perfect Pair: Yellow + Grey

Spring is right around the corner... right?  RIGHT? Well, maybe it's just wishful thinking.  Today it should get up to 38 degrees and I'm over the moon excited about it.  I'm over this teens business.  If I can't will Spring here any faster, at least we have beautiful bright interiors to inspire us!  What better than the perfect combination of yellow paired with grey?

I am DIEING over the gloves.  There is nothing more chic than shoulder length gloves scrunched down to the forearm.  They are the perfect shade of grey, too.

My sister and I are going to attempt to make this quilt from Anthro next week.  It looks like we're in for a LOT of work, but I'll let you know how it goes!  Love me a little DIY.
