Sneak Peek: Berkshire Master Bedroom

I am so excited to get a few detail shots of my projects back!
Today's preview is of a newly constructed custom home where I assisted in
designing details from the custom upholstered bed down to the doorknobs and hinges.

Here's a sneak peek at
 THE BERKSHIRE MASTER BEDROOM.

A lot of sweat and tears went into this project.
Totally. Worth It.

My photographer, Jylare, was amazing. I mean, AMAZING.
The girl has some serious talent, as you will see in upcoming posts.

Stay tuned for the full reveal next week and for more sneak peeks of another project tomorrow!

Brooke Jones Design Work: Floating Shelves

Here are some stills of a few of my projects where I used
FLOATING SHELVES.
They showed a view in my Studio 5 segment but I thought I'd share them again,
just in case you wanted to stare at them a bit longer.

A special shout-out to my UBER TALENTED SISTER
who used her awesome photography skills to shoot these images last minute.

Honestly, what do people do without sisters?

Good News Coming...

The long waits between my posts will soon be to an end... hopefully.
I've been working on some exciting stuff and it'll all be worth it soon.
Stay tuned, I have GOOD NEWS COMING this week.

Here's a quick sneak peak:

So excited.

Objet D'art: Sculptural Antlers

Using antlers in decorating has received a bad rap in years gone by.  Lately though, I've seen
SCULPTURAL ANTLERS
show up in some extremely chic rooms.

They are perfect for the holidays too!
How adorable would it be to hang delicate ornaments from each point?

The antler in my home is from a hiking trip I took with my dad and brother about 15 years ago.
My dad had kept it in his basement and I was able to dig it up.
Now I need to figure out if I want to leave it plain,
paint it white, or maybe paint it a funky metallic like chrome or antique gold....

If you aren't lucky enough to live in an area where you can search for naturally shed antlers,
no need to worry, check out these picks:

Isn't the antler wreath bananas?  And LUCITE antlers?? I mean... I die.

Objet D'art: Horse Book Ends

While perusing Etsy's vintage section the other day, I came across these little beauties:

Ever since, I've been coming across chic horse head bookends every where I turn.

I could see this design trend being something both Kelly Wearstler and my cowboy princess of a Grandmother would a approve of!  What do you think?

House Crush: Domicile Interiors Apartment

You may have come across the home of Jolene Ballard of Domicile Interiors before, but it is too gorgeous not to re-post.  The retro-meets-feminine-modern is TOTALLY my style, (if I was a single gal. Not that my husband for ban pink walls and milk glass vase collections, but I try to be considerate that our home is his space too).  Most of the pieces are either vintage finds or custom made, to really reflect Jolene's personal style.  This home is banana-crazy beautiful.

Art Wall: Gallery vs. Shelf

I really can't decide what look I like better- art displayed in a gallery style or layered on a shelf?  I have been waffling between the two styles for a while now.

I"ll see an image like this:

....and I am enamoured.
Then I'll come across an image like this:

...and my jaw will drop.

Which makes me me wonder,

gallery...

...or shelves...

...gallery...

...or shelves...

...gallery...

...or shelves...

I need to come to a decision as I need to place art above my sofa.  Arg... This decision is just too hard.

Which look do you like best?  I need to know!
