A Pre-Weekend Break

It's been a CRAZY week. Starting a new job is always rough. Don't you hate being a newbie? Anyway, I'm taking a little hiatus for the next day or so to rejuvenate the creative part of my brain. Prepare yourself for the beautiful things to come!!

As much as I complain about being stuck in Utah, I sure do love Southern Utah. Wish it would warm up a wee bit more so I could plan a day trip to Moab or Zions with the hubbie...

...and of course we'd drive a vintage Mercedes loaded with Gucci and Louis V luggage. Is there any other way to take a road trip?

Perfect Pair: Concrete + Shower

One of my clients this week came up with the most genius idea for a shower surround-- stained concrete!! Look how amazing this unusual and hard-wearing material looks in a walk-in shower:

Gorgeous. We haven't received a bid from the concrete guy, but if it ends up not costing us an arm and a leg, I'll post images of what hers looks like when completed. Let's keep our fingers crossed!

The Elysian Hotel

An entire hotel inspired by the fashion salons of Dior and Chanel? Yes, please! I have seen random images of the Elysian Hotel in Chicago and each one has taken my breath away. Gorgeous. I never knew where the images were from until I ran across a link to the hotel's website. Again, my breath was taken away. When I die, this is what I envision heaven to look like. Oh please, oh please, oh please let heaven be this beautiful...

Perfect Pair: Yellow + Grey

Spring is right around the corner... right? RIGHT? Well, maybe it's just wishful thinking. Today it should get up to 38 degrees and I'm over the moon excited about it. I'm over this teens business. If I can't will Spring here any faster, at least we have beautiful bright interiors to inspire us! What better than the perfect combination of yellow paired with grey?
