Missoni Styled Chevron Tile

The fashion house of Missoni has been all the rage the past few weeks with it's limited edition line for Target.
The items are cute but well, I'd rather have a
MISSONI INSPIRED TILE BACKSPLASH.

Bananas.

{I was blonde a didn't record where I found this image.  Anyone out there know?}

Craig Olsen Interior Design

So, I was taking a moment and vegging in front of some Rachel Zoe,
when I spotted one of her assistants running into a chic LA boutique.
I jumped on the ol' lap top and discovered
CRAIG OLSEN INTERIOR DESIGN.
Love their aesthetic. They are definitely my kind of people.
Take a look at some of my favorites from their portfolio:

Drool worthy, no?

Check out more here.

M.I.A.

Sorry I have been m.i.a. this past week.  Adding a new client to my work load on top of my mystery health problems acting up again, the blogging has gone by the wayside the past few days.

This week I'll be better. Promise.

I'm haven't decided if it's a conversation piece or just plain gross.
We'll go for interesting conversation piece for now..

If you think these styles are great you should check out the prices!
It'll knock your socks off.

Make sure to visit The Decorista's blog. You'll love it.

Vintage Gold Wheat Sheaf Tables

Lately I've been seeing more and more
GOLD WHEAT SHEAF TABLES
popping up in design magazines and the blog-o-sphere
In France, wheat is a symbol of prosperity and wealth.  CoCo Chanel used wheat motifs throughout her 31 Rue Cambon apartment, including a gold wheat sheaf table:

After a little research, I found a few vintage pieces, mainly from the 40's-60's.
Look how glam this cocktail table is:

So pretty and perfect for Fall!

'Cause... I want one.

White After Labor Day

Who says you can't wear
  WHITE AFTER LABOR DAY?
Especially for your home...

These rooms have me wishing I could curl up with a good book and await the cooler weather...

Feminine Bedroom: So Fresh and So Clean Bedroom

If I was a single gal, my bedroom would be light, feminine and
SO FRESH AND SO CLEAN.

Every room needs a little animal something or other and this fur throw does the trick (this is a much better option than the taxidermy peacock on the nightstand.  That may be a little too Alfred Hitchcock in the wee hours of the morning...).

Perfect Pair: Grey + Gold Details

Adore me some
GREY AND GOLD DETAILS.
Who said you can't mix warm and cool tones?

Summer to Fall Transitional Style

Happy September!
Now, more than ever, I am dreaming of slightly cooler temperatures
and keeping an eye on those mountain leaves, hoping for a glimmer of autumn...
Until then, I have great images like this to
TRANSITION FROM SUMMER TO FALL.
